The evening’s performance will be presented in two parts. In the first, the Új Dimenzió (New Dimension Workshop) combines classical, contemporary and jazz elements translated into a unified language within a unique dialogue among instruments. Subsequently, clarinetist Csaba Klenyán introduces the audience to Harlequin, composed in 1975 by Karlheinz Stockhausen. This “musical stage performance” requires the performer to go beyond playing an instrument, and take on the role of dancer and actor as well. With the movement and acting, a new dimension is added to the music, placing the figure of Harlequin back into his original context, the world of the commedia dell’arte that combines all forms of art.
